Palm Treo 650 Smartphone

The Treo 650 smartphone looks and feels just like a phone, but it's so much more. Carry thousands of business and personal phone numbers with you, and dial any of them by name from your contacts list. Or enter a name or number on the QWERTY keyboard. There's even an on-screen dial pad. speakerphone, speed dial, conference calling, call history, and caller ID make managing all your calls that much easier. Available as a dual-band digital CDMA phone, and as a GSM quad-band world phone.

I had a Treo 650. One day, about three months in, it decided to stop turning on. My cell provider refused to replace it, and no one would insure it because it was so expensive. I was left with nothing. Hopes crushed, I moved on to a candybar phone I found on eBay on the cheap. But come the 680, I'll be buying again.

Agree, agree, agree.

The treo is the best phone I have ever owned. Sadly now it is a bit lacking in features and looks a bit dated. It is desperately in need of WiFi and a better camera.

I've spoken to orange recently and they told me that the 700 P or W do not appear to be on the horizon. Vodaphone have got a trimmed down model which uses Windows Mobile but lacks the SD card (a must for me) and wifi.

If the W doesn't come along soon I may be forced to move sets, I need wifi and thus Skype in my pocket..

The 5-way navigation button is great, integration with the applications is very good. The battery life is very good. I only plug in the charger occassionaly when I am back to the office and this thing seems to always maintain charge level over 60%. Highly recommended.

Well, I guess it's about time to replace my 650 with a later model, but this has been the most complete phone I've had so far. Easy access to e-mail, contacts, seamless integration with Outlook and a great GUI for sms.
