I bought this one recently as an addiction to my main Nikon D70 camera. Ixus is ultra-compact and I can have it by myself even when I don't want to carry my big DSLR.

What's the best in this camera:
- image stabilization which lets you take photos even with 1/10s
- ISO 1600 (really usable is ISO 800 and you won't see much noise on paper - you will see it when you enlarge photo to 100% on your screen but keep in mind that actually photo displayed to fit your screen or printed on paper is several times smaller, and you don't see the noise from ISO 800). This let you decrease exposition times significantly (comparing to usable ISO 200 in cameras with max ISO 400 it's 4x longer).
- 28mm wide angle (equivalent) comparing to 36-39mm in almost all other ultra-compact cameras. That's a HUGE difference.

These tree features make this camera really worth the price. Of course you still can't do any serious photography with it but you get more than you can get from most other ultra-compacts.
